For the last few weeks she’s made lists… things she wants to give away… her things… just in case.
A week ago I found him fully dressed, sound asleep in the livingroom. He’d been there since 1 a.m., fearful she needed to go back to the hospital … “I need to be ready” he said.
But when the hospital doors opened… she left with him…
…and they work side by side, setting the table for family, just as they have for almost 66 years…
…and that doesn’t count their teenage love story and the years she waited while he went to war.
I’ve never known two people more… together.

What a blessing your parents are – an encouragement to me. We are near our 37th anniversary – that’s just a little more than half what your parents have. wow. I pray strength for them – and for you.
